Dr. Kazuya Maeda is an associate professor of the Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacokinetics, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Tokyo (Prof. Hiroyuki Kusuhara) from Oct 2012. He is also working as a senior visiting scientist of Sugiyama Laboratory, RIKEN Research Cluster for Innovation, RIKEN from May 2012.
He received his B.S. in the University of Tokyo in 1999, and graduated from the Master Course in the Graduate School of Pharm. Sci., the University of Tokyo in 2001. He was promoted to an
assistant professor in 2002 in the middle of the Ph.D course in the University of Tokyo. He received Ph.D degree from the University of Tokyo in 2006. He received “The Japanese Society for the
Study of Xenobiotics (JSSX) Award for Young Scientists” in 2009, “The Annual Clinical Pharmacology Research Award from the Japan Research Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology (JRFCP)” in 2010,
“The Academy of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Japan (APSTJ) Award for Young Scientists” in 2011, “The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan (PSJ) Award for Young Scientists” in 2013, and “Asia
Pacific International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (ISSX) New Investigator Award” in 2014. He currently contributes to the creation of New Japanese Regulatory Guideline on Drug
Interactions as an Executive Board Member and Working Group Member of “Transporter-mediated DDIs”.

Dr. Imamura is a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics at Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. She has focused her research
on exposure-response relationships of drugs in oncology and hematology to develop individualized medicine. She worked as a visiting professor at the Clinical Pharmacology Program in the Medical

Wooin Lee is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Seoul National University. After obtaining her BS and MS degrees from the College of
Pharmacy, Seoul National University, she completed my PhD training at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, University at Buffalo, SUNY in the USA. After her
postdoctoral training at the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University (2001- 2004), she joined the research faculty working closely with clinical oncologists and the early drug
development team at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (2004-2008). She was an Assistant and Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, University of
Kentucky (2008-2014). Since the fall of 2014, she has been at her current position, enjoying her research on genetic and molecular bases for variable response in cancer therapy with a focus on
membrane drug transporters. She is eager to learn about and apply modeling approaches to predict and optimize drug response.
Favorite things to do outside of the lab: making pottery (self-claimed clay-artist-in-training), yoga (still working on full-bridge pose, though), reading about

Katsuhiro Kanda is currently a Senior Engineer in Bio Systems Design Department, Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation. He obtained B.Agr. and M.A. degree in University of Tsukuba, and Ph.D. in Iwate University. He worked as a researcher in several biotech institutes and a lecturer in Iwate University during 90’s, and then joined Life Science Group, Hitachi Ltd. in 2000.
