Yuichi Sugiyama received Rawls-Palmer Progress in Medicine Award” at the ASCPT 2014 Annual Meeting
Head of Sugiyama Laboratory of Innovation Center, Research Cluster for Innovation, Yuichi Sugiyama (professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo) was awarded “Rawls-Palmer Progress in Medicine Award” at the ASCPT 2014 Annual Meeting held on Mar 18 to 2s in Atlanta, GA.
This award was established to incorporate the efforts of modern research in patient care and to help bridge the gap between the results of research and its application in patient care. Dr. Sugiyama is the first awardee in Asia.
He was awarded as an eligible scientist who is an academic, industrial, or regulatory scientist who is widely recognized for their transformational and/or translational discoveries or innovative approaches impacting clinical pharmacology research and clinical practice.
The ceremony of awarding an honor as well as presentation was held in the ASCPT 2014 Annual Meeting.
